Why do it

Project Examples

Over two semesters, a group of 4th-year student-consultants will assess your business processes in order to identify an issue or opportunity for improvement using technology. They will then identify an IT solution tailored to your company after evaluating vendors (via RFP) to recommend the most appropriate solution. Finally, they will identify risks associated with implementation and the change management processes needed. Project scopes can include, but are not limited to;

  • sales/marketing gaps indicating a need for CRM solutions
  • website performance issues
  • accounts payable issues with ordering/payment
  • recruitment process hiring of employees
  • sales and order fulfillment
  • client acquisition process, etc.

Students provide a report with their analysis of gaps/opportunities in your organization, including recommendations to address them. They redesign the business process, propose a system solution, develop an RFP/I document, compare vendor solutions to provide a recommendation, and submit the implementation plan for their solution.
