Project Examples

A group of 4-5 student consultants will assist a local business by addressing a real-life business problem of the owner's choosing.  Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • How to reach a specific target market 
  • Increasing revenue for a product/service 
  • Identifying potential partnerships    
  • Identifying and cutting unnecessary costs
  • Identifying technology to adopt
  • Reducing employee turnover 


  • 15 minute live, in-class presentation to company representative
  • 8 page Final Report with recommendations

Build strong relationships at local schools and with their students to ensure that you hire for cultural fit, while improving your community.


  • Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to make sure everyone is on the same page.
  • attend in-class presentation at the end of quarter
  • Be available for a 1-hour interview (virtual, phone, or in person) in order to make sure the students fully understand your company, industry and needs
  • Be responsive to periodic emails to answer any questions or concerns that the student(s) may have as they progress
  • Provide a Riipen skill rating on student performance upon completion of the project.
  • Create a free organizational profile on Riipen (if you do not already have one).
  • Complete a 30-second exit survey.
  • Pay a $500.00 participation fee to Riipen if approved by the instructor and successfully matched to students.
