Project Examples

Individual student consultants spend approximately 5-6 weeks working with your company to thoroughly analyze data sets using a variety of analysis methods. The results can provide in-depth insights into the operations of your business, a detailed perspective of your customers, and solutions to complex problems. Students are trained in and can leverage industry standards for analysis using SQL, Excel, R, PPT, and Tableau.  Project content is flexible and meant to move your data problems forward.

Projects can include, but are not limited to;

  • analyzing e-commerce data to understand buyers and buying habits across several selling platforms,
  • identifying KPIs and gaining better insights from Google Analytics,
  • understanding profitability, retention, referrals, and attrition rates for your customers,
  • creating comprehensive dashboards to enhance your data visualization for customers, teams, and executives,
  • optimizing product design based on data results,
  • determining which internal investments make the most sense over time,
  • writing scripts for data queries to provide quick and easy access to business insights, and
  • designing lead scoring systems to understand opportunities worth pursuing and developing predictive sales model, etc


Students will complete the data analysis and present their findings in final a presentation (virtual or in-person). They will clearly identify the challenges the organization is facing, uncover the root cause of the identified challenges, propose viable solution(s), and recommend the best course of action as well as justify the position through metrics. Students will also provide tangible copies of their work as it pertains to their individual project. All proprietary company information remains confidential at all times.

  • Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to make sure everyone is on the same page.
  • Be available for a 1-2 hour interview (virtual, phone, or in person) in order to make sure the students fully understand your company, industry and needs
  • Be responsive to periodic emails to answer any questions or concerns that the student(s) may have as they progress
  • Be willing to have virtual meets with students as deemed necessary throughout the engagement
  • Be willing to provide access to internal data such as; Google Analytics, Customer Data, Product Data, Sales Data, Survey Results, etc. as deemed necessary by you the client. (Students can sign NDAs should you require it)
  • Provide a Riipen skill rating on student performance upon completion of the project.
  • Create a free organizational profile on Riipen (if you do not already have one).
  • Complete a 30-second exit survey.
  • Pay a $500.00 participation fee to Riipen if approved by the instructor and successfully matched to students.
