The Opportunity

We have grown to 150 people and are looking to grow even more. While marketing students leaving college/university have business acumen they usually fall short with technical skills, like understanding the logic of advanced excel skills that today's, data-driven marketing experts need. Not to mention almost no experience with Drip Campaigns and Salesforce.com, which is most definitely a shame... BUT a huge opportunity!

The Project

Wouldn’t it be nice to have the tedious process of nurturing leads to a sales-ready state automated for you? Your emails to leads would always be relevant, your sales pipeline would have fewer leaks, and you would have more time to focus on projects that matter. Sounds pretty good right? Well, drip marketing campaigns do all of that and more for marketing and sales teams everyday, and leverage Big Data to make Big Decisions!

You will get yourself set up on Salesforce.com with an explanation and information about a drip campaign. What you have to do is create a mock campaign for yourself to prove to us that you have the abilities to work as a marketing expert.

Deliverables

We will have to get you set up so please include your name and email address in your application when you 'start' the project! We will respond back to you with your log in and also a data set that you will need in an excel file.

One hour demo: 30 minutes for presentation; 30 minutes for questions Role play it out: create a fun business/ use case!-

EXERCISE #1 – Salesforce Marketing Cloud: You have been hired as a consultant by a hypothetical company of your choice and asked to create a nurture campaign within their Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) org. Create the following components with your provided instance of Marketing Cloud: - 2 Emails In addition, create the following: - 1 Wireframe of a landing page - 1 Illustration of a nurture campaign flow including the 2 emails and landing page

EXERCISE #2 – Pardot Lead Scoring: Lead scoring automatically scores and grades prospects, following up with only those meeting the ideal customer profile. Pardot’s blended lead scoring and grading model gives you the ability to prioritize and qualify leads while building up detailed prospect profiles over time. Leveraging Pardot, build a lead scoring strategy on an Excel spreadsheet for your hypothetical company. Include the following components: - Lead scoring rules - Lead grading rules - Lead assignment rules o Include score or grade threshold to automatically assign qualified leads

EXERCISE #3 – Journey Builder: Journey Builder is a powerful campaign planning tool within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), empowering marketers to design and automate responsive campaigns. Using a visual mapping tool (i.e. Lucidchart or Visio), build a journey map for the same fictitious company to optimize their personalized selling. Include the following components: - Multi-channel touch points: o At least 2 emails, 2 social messages, and 1 mobile push notification (Bonus: internet of things connection) - Entry event criteria (what qualifies members to enter the journey) - Goal completion criteria (what defines a successful conversion within the journey) - Segmentation/personalization criteria (what specific attributes to target in their communication) o Consider the sample data provided under the resources section
